Welcome to Good Enough, a podcast that highlights the good in each of us. I am your host Asha and I'm thrilled to embark on this journey with you to share stories that celebrate the heroes within us all and embrace the power of positivity.
So, Why Good Enough? My backstory is that I have working in “Sustainability” (and I say that with air quotes) for a decade now. It was not always called that. It went under the umbrella of “ “ “ ‘. And, it was usually fraught with conflict from a misalignment of ideals and the reality of people’s everyday. Whether it was farmers who were trying to both do their job and provide for their family or consumers who wanted to meet ends and still enjoy life. After almost a decade, I simply got tired of all the negativity in this space - of the shame, guilt and fear messaging, the desire to control and curtail people into doing things that they’d rather not for "the greater good”. So, that’s what Nourished Voice is about. It is about everyday stories of you, me, my neighbor and the guy walking down the street and the story within each of us that is sustainable, that is contributing to the greater good. I believe in humanity. I believe we are, not can be, just are amazing already. I want to celebrate that. I want to share that positive, hopeful joyous energy with you.
I always wanted to know and loved people’s stories, literally anyone, including many souls who just happened to share my subway ride. Their stories thrilled me, inspired me, and left me in awe of all that we humans are capable of - love, joy, compassion, resilience, drive. And, I don’t want to be selfish about it and so, was born “Good Enough”. To bring your voice back to you - through heartfelt storytelling, candid interviews and engaging conversations,
